MagnifEye - New Liveness Detection with an Extra Layer of Security

Based on more than 15 years of in-house R&D, Innovatrics introduces a novel approach to liveness detection called MagnifEye. It is a new semi-passive method inspired by our extensive know-how in the domain of facial and iris recognition. MagnifEye leverages these modalities and increases the reliability of remote identity proofing to the government-grade level.

MagnifEye is the newest member of Innovatrics’ liveness detection portfolio developed with extra security in mind. It is designed to help our partners create remote identity verification solutions for organizations that demand the highest levels of protection from presentation attacks.

The core of the technology is built upon Innovatrics Passive Liveness Detection, which has been successfully deployed across a wide range of enterprise and government clients. Knowledge gathered during the development of our NIST-benchmarked Iris Recognition engine also complements the method by taking into account the uniqueness of the human eye.

MagnifEye navigates the user to capture a detailed image of the eye and lays foundations for the multimodal capability of liveness detection. The process can be performed within seconds and does not compromise the customer experience.

In contrast to active liveness checks, it minimizes the end user’s effort while delivering highly reliable results. Furthermore, MagnifEye can double the accuracy of liveness detection since the method evaluates multiple biometric inputs.

Partners can also benefit from hassle-free integration. Based on their preferences, our technology can be deployed on-prem or in the cloud. The mobile SDK size of just 1MB will help them minimize the impact on the footprint of the final application.
